A new after school care program at Mid-America Science Museum, entitled Science After School, begins January 7, 2019 and will be offered Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. until the end of the school year. At this time, Science After School enrollment is available to K - 8th grade students.

This program will be the first of its kind in the state of Arkansas and is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. “The licensing process that the museum undertook prepared our educators for the launch of this new program and we’re anticipating full enrollment for the first year,” said Jeremy Mackey, Education Director at Mid-America Science Museum.

“We are excited to be offering after school science learning opportunities for local students and we are privileged to offer a safe and comfortable environment for child care that is affordable and needed by families in Hot Springs. We are proud to be partnering with the Lake Hamilton School District and look forward to serving families in this new way,” said Diane LaFollette, Executive Director at Mid-America Science Museum.
